Description

The Dorchester is Sherborne’s premier model of adjustable bed. Designed with style and comfort in mind, the Dorchester features a dual motor so that the upper and lower body can both be adjusted into optimum positions individually. This motor allows the back to be raised, to help with those with breathing difficulties, whilst raising the lower body helps prevent swelling. The dual motor allows for a near infinite number of sleeping and sitting positions, and once you’ve found the optimum positions for you, these can be programmed into the bed’s memory for easy access. Each bed also has a maximum user weight of 25 Stone.

The Dorchester is available in a number of sizes, all of which include a headboard and mattress included in the price.

2ft 6in: a small single bed – £1275.00
3ft: a single bed – £1295.00
4ft: a small double bed – 1445.00
5ft: two 2ft6in beds joined to create a king bed – 2350.00
6ft: two 3ft beds joined to create a super king bed – 2395.00

The Dorchester is available with any one of 10 specially designed Mattresses outlined below. As standard DSL supplies the premium Royal Mattress

Marquis: a slimline mattress, made of standard foam. It consists of a 16cm base layer. Fitted with a Cool-Max cover to alleviate overheating.

Classic: A slimline mattress with memory foam. It consists of a 13.5cm base layer and a 2.5cm Memory Foam top. Fitted with a Cool-Max cover to alleviate overheating.

Deluxe: a deeper mattress offering a thicker layer of memory foam. It consists of a 13cm base layer, and a 7cm Memory Foam top. Fitted with a Cool-Max cover to alleviate overheating. (This mattress is available with a Soft, Medium or Firm specification).

Supreme: a deeper mattress offering both Memory Foam and Latex Foam for greater temperature control. It consists of a 13cm base layer, and a 7cm Memory Foam top. Fitted with a Cool-Max cover to alleviate overheating. (This mattress is available with a Soft, Medium or Firm specification).

Victoria: an even deeper mattress offering a luxurious combination of Memory Foam and temperature regulating Latex Foam. Features a 14cm base layer, 7cm Memory Foam layer and a 3cm Latex top. Fitted with a Cool-Max cover to alleviate overheating.

Royal: Sherborne’s premium mattress, offering superb comfort and support with both Logicoil and Posturefill springs. The mattress features (from bottom to top) a 7.5cm foam base layer, 5cm Posturefill spung layer, 2.5cm foam separator, 4cm Logicoil sprung layer, 3.5cm foam layer and 2.5cm Latex Foam top. Due to it’s inbuilt ventilation, the Royal is fitted with a standard cover.

The Dorchester is available in a selection of fabrics, including the easily cleanable AquaClean infused Neptune range. Many of these fabrics are available with express delivery, swatches are available to view in-store.

The Dorchester is a fully adjustable motorised bed. it allows the user to change the position of both the head and foot of the bed through a full range of positions, independent of one another. The adjustment is achieved through a simple-to-use handset.

The Dorchester s available with a choice of 3 headboards, provided at no additional charge, outlined below:

Lyon: A full-height headboard, with a rectangular shape and no border

Isobel: A strut headboard, with rounded rectangle shape and  border

Emily: A strut headboard, with rounded half-octagon shape and border

Unfortunately, we don’t offer this product online, only in our showrooms to customers in our Optimum Service Area. This is for 2 reasons;

Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 5 years parts and 2 years labour from date of purchase. It is covered for any defects or faults within the defined period. This guarantee covers the electrics and frame of the chair only.

Unfortunately guarantees do not cover accidental damage, product misuse or any callouts resulting from an electrical item being switched off.


Making a Claim
In order to make a claim against your guarantee, for online customers we would recommend they contact us via our usual methods, to discuss the fault and arrange any repairs or replacements.

For In-Store customers, we would advise you to either contact us as above, or to call into one of our showrooms (with the item if possible), the item will then be repaired free-of-charge in our workshop. However if you would like the repair carried out at your home or for it to be collected by DSL, then additional fees will apply, parts and labour will still be free-of-charge.

For larger, non-portable items, are exempt from this charge, and we are able to repair them under guarantee on-site.

Exempted products include; R&R Chairs, Stairlifts, Beds, Hoists and larger Mobility Scooters or Powerchairs.


Repairs

Even outside the guarantee period, we would be happy to repair your mobility item (no-matter, where you originally bought it). These repairs can be carried out in our workshop or at your home (at an additional charge). Please contact us for more information.


Servicing

If you would like an item serviced by our workshop team; this can easily be arranged in-store or via our regular contact methods. Should we discover any faults that will require additional parts or labour charges, will always contact you first, before to discuss possible options.

This product is exempt from VAT if you are chronically sick of disabled, under the VAT act of 1994.
DSL Mobility will take care of all VAT elements, you do not have to reclaim the VAT. You only pay the price excluding VAT, providing you sign the exemption box at the checkout.
