Description
Mobility should never be limited by distance. The VIP 2 is a tilt-in-space and reclining wheelchair in one. It allows users with partial trunk control to traverse like everyone else and provides optimal pressure relief and positioning on the chair. Its lightweight folding design makes it the best wheelchair to travel with.
Select from the options available to customize your seat. The back height is available in two sizes: 51cm or 56cm. The seat to floor height is available in two sizes: 49cm (7 in” castor wheels) or 47cm (6 in” castor wheels).
- The Tilt-in-Space system allows the wheelchair user to change position throughout the day, which will redistribute and relieves pressure. This feature helps reduce the risk of developing pressure ulcer and prevent discomfort associated with prolonged sitting. The weight shifting system provides a steady smooth recline and a sense of security for the user when reclining.
- The VIP 2 is lightweight and foldable and fits easily into a car trunk. The additional push-bar makes it easy to push and manoeuvre with just one hand and at the same time, reinforces the structure of this folding wheelchair.
- Sliding is a major concern of a standard reclining chair. Sliding creates shearing between the user’s back and back of the wheelchair and poor positioning. The VIP 2 solves this problem by locating the reclining pivot point of the chair and bringing the user’s hip joint closer to it. This placement synchronises the motion of the body and the chair and minimizes the sliding and the shearing when reclining or sitting upright.
- The curved headrest provides a wide range of adjustment and positioning. The head pad angle can be adjusted based on the user’s head.
- Unlike conventional wheelchairs, the backrest uses adjustable velcro straps to change the tension and conform according to the wheelchair user. This helps prevent slouching and the hammock effect.
- Adjust the height of the armrest by moving it up or down until you find the ideal height. A proper armrest height is helpful to relieve loads on the neck, shoulders, and arms and alleviate stress on the back. No tools required. The armrest is fully detachable and offers greater convenience transferring on and off the wheelchair.
- The VIP 2 is approved for transportation in accordance with ISO 7176-19. This means it is suitable to be used as a seat in a motor vehicle for transportation.

Our team have years of expertise in the mobility industry, and we would like to offer it to you free-of-charge and guide you through our product range to find the right product to suit your individual needs.
- We want to look after you long-term.
From our Optimum Service Area we can provide our full range of aftercare services for maintenance and repair of mobility equipment. We perform all repairs in-house and as such can get out to you ASAP without having to wait for a national firm or contractor to squeeze you in.

Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 12 months parts and labour from date of purchase. It is covered for any defects or faults within the defined period.
Unfortunately guarantees do not cover accidental damage, product misuse or any callouts resulting from an electrical item being switched off.
Making a Claim
In order to make a claim against your guarantee, for online customers we would recommend they contact us via our usual methods, to discuss the fault and arrange any repairs or replacements.
For In-Store customers, we would advise you to either contact us as above, or to call into one of our showrooms (with the item if possible), the item will then be repaired free-of-charge in our workshop. However if you would like the repair carried out at your home or for it to be collected by DSL, then additional fees will apply, parts and labour will still be free-of-charge.
For larger, non-portable items, are exempt from this charge, and we are able to repair them under guarantee on-site.
Exempted products include; R&R Chairs, Stairlifts, Beds, Hoists and larger Mobility Scooters or Powerchairs.
Repairs
Even outside the guarantee period, we would be happy to repair your mobility item (no-matter, where you originally bought it). These repairs can be carried out in our workshop or at your home (at an additional charge). Please contact us for more information.
Servicing
If you would like an item serviced by our workshop team; this can easily be arranged in-store or via our regular contact methods. Should we discover any faults that will require additional parts or labour charges, will always contact you first, before to discuss possible options.
This product is exempt from VAT if you are chronically sick or disabled, under the VAT act of 1994.
DSL Mobility will take care of all VAT elements, you do not have to reclaim the VAT. You only pay the price excluding VAT, providing you sign the exemption box at the checkout.
